What we collect
If you join an evidence watch, we collect the email address, state or District of Columbia, role category, selected issue tracks, frequency and explicit consent. If you submit a source, correction, local update or review offer, we store the form fields you provide and optional contact details in an access-restricted verification queue. We do not ask for a street address, precise location or sensitive personal information.
Participation signals
When you mark a page useful or share it through the site controls, a necessary anonymous participant cookie prevents repeated clicks from inflating the count. The cookie contains a random identifier, not your email, name or selected interests. Public counts describe recorded device signals, not verified people or endorsements.
Cookies
A necessary consent preference stores whether you allowed optional analytics. The anonymous participation cookie is used only for useful and share counts. Optional, privacy-respecting analytics load only after you choose “Allow analytics.” You can clear browser storage and cookies to reset these choices.
Subscriber addresses and watch preferences are stored in our access-restricted Listmonk system for future Public Evidence briefings. Every future briefing will include an unsubscribe mechanism. You may request access, correction or deletion at any time. We do not sell or share subscriber data.
Participation boundary
Subscribing, clicking useful, sharing a page or submitting a record does not make you or your organization a public supporter, partner or reviewer. We publish a contributor's identity only after presenting the exact proposed attribution and receiving explicit permission.
Analytics boundary
When optional analytics are allowed, Matomo can record that a form was submitted, accepted or returned an error. Email addresses, source submissions and watch preferences are not sent to Matomo or used as analytics identifiers.
Public records
The evidence index contains information drawn from public documents. Requests to correct a material error can be submitted through the participation form or sent to [email protected].
