Transparency
before authority.

01 / STATUS

An initiative,
not a registered fund

Public Evidence Project currently operates as an independent civic research initiative. It is not represented as a registered charity, tax-exempt organization, government body, university program or grantmaking fund.

The project does not currently solicit tax-deductible donations. If its legal or tax status changes, this page will be updated before any new claim appears elsewhere.

02 / LEADERSHIP

No borrowed
authority

The project is published in its own name through its editorial desk. No person, cited institution or commercial provider is currently presented as its founder, editor, owner or advisor.

A named editorial steward will appear only after accepting defined responsibility. Institutional affiliations will identify a person and will not imply institutional endorsement without separate authorization.

03 / FUNDING

Funding must
be legible too

No outside donor, sponsor or paid member is currently identified as funding the public pilot. The project is not conducting public fundraising.

Future material grants, sponsorships and in-kind support will be disclosed with the funder, amount or range, purpose and any editorial restrictions.

04 / COMMERCIAL ATTRIBUTION

No portfolio
claim by implication

The project is not presented as the property, portfolio work or endorsement vehicle of a commercial provider. The public site does not offer consulting services.

No reviewer, signatory or contributor may be represented as supporting an outside commercial service through participation in this project. Any future material commercial relationship would be disclosed before it is represented publicly.

05 / CITED PEOPLE

Citation is not
endorsement

Researchers and institutions may appear because their published work is relevant. That does not mean they reviewed Public Evidence, agreed with its interpretation or authorized use of a logo.

A person moves from “cited source” to “reviewer,” “contributor,” “signatory” or “advisor” only with explicit permission and a displayed scope.

06 / REPOSITORY

Hosting is not
endorsement

Harvard Dataverse published Version 1.0 of the dataset on July 21, 2026 under DOI 10.7910/DVN/PDK5U4.

Repository hosting, DOI registration and publication do not imply Harvard affiliation, scientific endorsement or agreement with the project’s interpretation.

07 / CORRECTIONS

A record can
be challenged

Corrections should identify the page, disputed field and a primary source supporting the change. Material corrections are dated in the public corrections log.

Privacy, analytics and email collection are covered separately in the privacy policy.

08 / EXTERNAL EVIDENCE

Review and use
are separately proved

Completed external reviews require explicit permission, a defined scope, date and outcome in the review register.

Independent use requires a public citation, reporting use, resource listing or reproducible analysis in the citation register. Invitations and private correspondence count as neither.
